We are a small processing lab that does most things by hand and in small batches to ensure quality and lower the external risk. Enjoy the option of customizing your print orders and film processing at a local photo lab that will have quick turn around and attention to detail. Mail in or drop off the film for processing, let us scan your negatives with a high res digital scanner or an analog high end drum scanner or send a file for us to print for you on many mediums of paper, canvas, or metal! We service fine art photographers, wedding photographers, street photographers, portraiture, and more. We also keep a decent amount of film inventory at STUDIO V for purchase and we have bulk rolls of film that is available for pickup.

We can customize as much as possible when it comes to development to fit your needs. The point of us opening this lab in the studio is to provide other artists the resources to get what they want out of their own work. This gif shows a 6x7 Kodak Portra 160 negative drum scanned and zooming in. As it zooms into the eye, you can see myself in the reflection holding the camera. I call this, “the Secret Selfie”!

Lab Scans VS Drum Scans

Some examples of the quality of lab scans compared to the drum scans. Not only that the drum scans are higher resolution, but also higher DPI (Dots Per Inch). The details in the highlights and shadows are brought out in great detail in the drum scans compared to an average lab scan. With the resolution and pixel size, an average medium format (120) scan is equivalent to 600+ megapixels.
